Mel's Transportation provides non-emergency transportation service 24-hours-a-day 7-days-a-week. The company was established in 2010 and is locally owned and operated. We currently provide transportation services for private companies, state and local agencies, psychiatric treatment facilities, and schools. With a fleet of over 35 vehicles, we transport hundreds of clients throughout southeastern Louisiana each day. In addition to transportation, we offer “Healthy/Wellness checks” through our Mel Cares Division. 

Our expectation is to transport clients in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. We seek to continuously develop and grow our company's relationship with clients, staff, and the community while fostering an environment of open communication and harmony within our daily operations. For added safety, our vehicles are equipped with cameras and GPS tracking devices that meet the Department of Transportation, Local, and State standards and regulations.

For the past twelve years, we have provided quality and professional transportation services throughout the state of Louisiana and parts of Mississippi. In the last six years, we have worked with the Regional Transit Authority to provide Paratransit Transportation Services throughout the Greater New Orleans Metropolitan area, and partner with Ochsner Health System to provide 24-hour ambulatory, PEC, and wheelchair transportation for their clients in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Through the years, our fleet has grown to include wheelchair vehicles, minivans, and 15-passenger vans.
